Celebrate Recovery, an outreach ministry of Cowboys for Jesus, hosts a free community dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. Thanksgiving Day/Thursday at 8400 FM 32, Fischer.

The public is invited to attend. All first responders are welcome as well. The church is across the street from Canyon Lake High School.

Dee Humphrey Teague, Celebrate Recovery’s assimilation coach, said nobody should be alone for Thanksgiving and encourages people to bring a friend and grab a plate.

Cowboys for Jesus Christian Fellowship describes itself as a “non-denominational church for folks who want to get out of ‘religion’ and into Jesus.”

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12-step ministry dealing with “hurts, habits and hang-ups” related to anger, codependency, eating disorders, food addiction, love and relationship addictions, physical-sexual-emotional abuse, alcohol/drug addictions, sex addiction and gambling addiction.
