Comal County Reports 41 New Cases, One COVID-19 Death Between April 22-28

Comal County reported 41 new COVID-19 cases and one death from the virus between April 22-28.

In its latest weekly statement, the county said the total number of cases reported since March 2020 is now 30,836. The total number of deceased now stands at 549.

No hospitalizations were reported.

Public Information Officer Cary Zayas said one resident died from the virus. The county declined to provide any further information about the death citing privacy reasons.

Some 64.55% of county residents are fully vaccinated (two shots).

Public Health is still administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for those 18 and older and Pfizer vaccines for anyone five years and older. Booster vaccines also are available.
