Canyon Lake Child Molester Pleads Guilty as Comal District Attorney Disposes 361 Cases in November, December

Prosecutors with the Comal County District Attorney’s Office disposed of 361 criminal cases in November and December, including a plea deal from Kaden Sheire, 19 of Canyon Lake.

He pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child and was sentenced to 20 years in prison by Judge Stephanie Bascon. District Attorney Jennifer Tharp prosecuted the case, which was investigated by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheire was arrested in December 2021.

“It’s been a busy year here in the Comal County District Attorney’s Office,” she said in a statement Friday. “Between January-December, over 2,900 cases were disposed of in district Courts and the county courts of law.

“Of the 2,900 cases 361 cases were disposed of during the months of November and December,” Tharp said.

Among those convicted are:

• Aaron Gomez, 29, of New Braunfels, who pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault against a public servant,  two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm,  and evading arrest or detention with a vehicle. Gomez was sentenced to 30 years in prison. Gomez was enhanced to a repeat offender due to his prior criminal history, which includes a felony offense of robbery.
• Jose Juan Mata-Delgadillo, 29, of New Braunfels, who pleaded guilty to two charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
• Troy Huffmaster, 57, of New Braunfels, who pleaded guilty to burglary of a habitation and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Huffmaster’s charge was enhanced to a first-degree felony due to his prior criminal history, which includes escape-bodily injury, burglary of a habitation and burglary of a building.
• Abel Montes, 44, of San Antonio who pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a firearm. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
• Andre Dominguez, Jr., 58, of Schertz who was found guilty of tampering with evidence by a jury and sentenced to 12 years in prison. His charge was enhanced from a third-degree felony to a second-degree felony due to a prior conviction for sexual assault of a child out in Tom Green County.
• Michael Curtis Jr., 31, of Spring Branch who pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance PG 1 > 4 grams < 200 Grams (methamphetamine), unlawful possession of a firearm and evading arrest with a vehicle. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
• Angel Perez, 28, of Helotes who pleaded guilty to five counts of smuggling of persons with a firearm and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
• Rainier Song, 24, of Doraville, Georgia, pleaded guilty to possessing a prohibited weapon and was sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication, a $1,000 fine, 300 hours of community service and treatment.
• Edward Goodman, 33, of Seguin who pleaded guilty to two counts of theft > $30,000 < $150,000 and theft > $2,500 < $30,000. He was sentenced to six years in prison.
• John Otero, 42, of San Antonio was found guilty of possession with intent to deliver a control substance PG 1 > 4 Grams < 200 grams (methamphetamine) by a jury. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
• Christina Wallace, 37, of San Antonio who pleaded guilty to fraudulent possession of identifying information on five or more items but less than ten items and was sentenced to five years in prison.
• Christian Carrasquillo, 28, of San Antonio who pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance PG 1 < 1G (methamphetamine) and was sentenced to five years deferred adjudication, a $2,000 fine, 300 hours of community service and attend and successfully complete treatment recommended by probation.
