New Braunfels police celebrated National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day with a shout-out to K-9 Zane, who detected drugs in a vehicle during a traffic stop Sunday.
Officers arrested 42-year-old Jeremy Dwayne Parker of Round Rock after discovering 336.8 grams of methamphetamine and a stolen firearm in his car.
Parker was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group 1 (>=200g<400g).
