Comal County nonprofits are invited to learn more about the McKenna Foundation’s 2023 grant application process during 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. March 9 meetings at 801 West San Antonio St., New Braunfels.
The foundation accepts applications from verified 501 (c) (3) nonprofit groups serving New Braunfels and Comal County residents. Grant funds must be used in Comal County.
“As always, the McKenna Foundation’s grant-making framework is the result of data collection, conversations with partners and careful consideration of a long-term strategy,” Program Officer Kristen Fain said. “This year, we are pleased to turn towards familiarity and reintroduce our full portfolio-driven grant application calendar that encompasses investments in all areas of community need.”
In 2022, the foundation awarded 36 grants totaling $2 million.
