Canyon Lake’s dam service road will close from April 24-27 for embankment maintenance, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) said Thursday.
In a statement, USACE said Overlook Park will remain open while contractors stage equipment and perform to perform maintenance on the popular walkway’s embankment.
“We understand a large number of people use the dam service road as a place to walk, walk with pets, take pictures and enjoy being outdoors,” said Civil Engineering Technician John Jacobs. “But for the safety of all visitors, we will be restricting access until the work is completed.”
