The Texas Water Company (TWC) today lifted the “emergency water conditions” it issued last week for parts of Canyon Lake, Spring Branch, Bulverde and Blanco.
Residential and commercial customers in those areas are now allowed to water outdoors but only in accordance with Stage 2 Watering Restrictions already in effect for all of TWC’s customers in Comal County.
Bulk haulers can resume normal operations.
Excessive demand and ongoing transmission-line repairs last week resulted in low water storage for the utility.
Larry Jackson, TWC’s director of Customer Service & Communications, thanked customers for limiting water usage.
“Adherence to watering schedules during various stages of our Drought Management Plan is critical and key to maintaining sufficient water storage for the health and safety of our community,” he said.
Stage 2 Drought Restrictions
Landscape irrigation and watering grass using a sprinkler or irrigation system are limited to one day every other week between 7-10 a.m. and 7-10 p.m.
Watering days are based on the last digit of your address:
- 0, 2, and 4 – Monday
- 1, 3 – Tuesday
- 6, 8 – Thursday
- 5, 7 and 9 – Friday
- No landscape irrigation and watering grass using a sprinkler or irrigation system is allowed on Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday.
