With these words on social media and just in time for Labor Day Weekend, Comal County Pct. 4 Commissioner Jen Crownover Tuesday confirmed on social media what most expected anyway.
The last holdout, the problematic Boat Ramp #6, closed Tuesday.
Boat ramps that are still open despite very low lake levels are #17, free, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; #18, $5/$20, operated by Water Oriented Recreation District of Comal County (WORD) and #19, $30, operated by Canyon Lake Marina.
Docks open to the public are #21 (free); #20 Potters Creek camping ($30-$35); #19, CanyonLake Marina, $35; and #18, Canyon Park ($20 per car for non-residents and $5 for vehicles with Comal County registration stickers).
There are 23 boat ramps located around Canyon Lake. Twenty-two ramps are on the main body of the lake. One ramp is upstream on the Guadalupe River leading into the lake.
Most boat ramps are operated by either Comal County or by USACE.
