Comal ISD’s (CISD) School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6 in the board room of Comal ISD Support Services, 1404 IH 35 N New Braunfels.
Dinner will be provided.
The meeting is an opportunity for parents and community members to talk with CISD directors in child nutrition, mental health, safe schools, physical activity, sex education and health services.
Every school district is required to have a SHAC to strengthen school and community health through coordinated school health efforts that support schools and the community.
Additional meetings are planned for Nov. 11, Jan. 17, 2024 and May 8, 2024.
