A delivery truck driver is lucky to be alive after losing control of his vehicle, which struck a curb and landed vertically against a large tree before erupting in flames in the 500 block of Hunters Creek Drive in New Braunfels.
Two New Braunfels Fire Department engines arrived on the scene and doused the flames with water, bringing the fire under control in 10 minutes according to a statement on Facebook.
The adult male driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Traffic was blocked for 30 minutes while crews cleared the scene.
