SJRC Texas today opened a new, 9,000-square-foot facility designed to educate children and youth in a safe and modern classroom setting.

Communications and Marketing Manager Vanessa Martin said the Harvey E. Najim Education Center in Bulverde contains three classrooms, a library, a multipurpose cafeteria/gym, offices for educators, and a therapy room.

SJRC Texas cares for children and families who have been affected by trauma, abuse or neglect.

The nonprofit was formed in 1983 as the St. Jude’s Home for Children after the Hamilton family purchased several acres in Bulverde to provide a safe haven for children in need.
