Nearly 62% of Comal County voters cast ballots during early voting for the Nov. 5 General Election.
Early voting ended Friday.
Some 89,066 residents voted early.
The number of ballots received by mail is 3,647. The number of people who voted in person is 85,419.
According to the Comal County Elections Office:
In 2020 the percentage for three weeks (extra week of voting because of COVID) of early voting was 60.825% or 70,485 in-person voters with 115,876 registered voters.
Ballot by mail was 10,735, with 79.27% or 8,510 ballot-by-mail returns on the last day of early voting.
This year, the percentage for two weeks of early voting was 59.019% or 84,913 in-person voters with 143,774 registered voters.
Ballot by mail was 4,789 with 76.15% or 3,647 ballots-by-mail return on last day of early voting. The percentage for early voting and ballot by mail is 61.905%.
There are 18,623,931 registered voters in Texas, according to the Secretary of State’s office. Around 48 percent of those voted early.
Polls open at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Election Day, and close at 7 p.m.
