Keep Canyon Lake Beautiful needs volunteers to help with its biggest cleanup event of the year, the 2025 Spring Clean Up—Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off.
On Saturday, April 5 the group, sponsored by the Water Oriented Recreation District of Comal County (WORD), will clean up parks, trails, Canyon Lake, the Guadalupe River and other areas.
The day’s fun includes free lunch, t-shirts, and raffle prizes.
The cleanup kicks off at 9 a.m. at the CRRC Rec Center Pavilion, 125 Mabel Jones Dr. Maps and instructions will be provided. Grabbers, safety vests and other supplies provided by KCLB must be returned to the CRRC Pavilion by noon.

Volunteers must provide their own transportation to and from the cleanup site unless other arrangements are in place.
Student groups must have an adult leader present.
The Trash-Off is a crucial part of Texas’ contribution to the Great American Cleanup, the nation’s largest community-improvement program, and TxDOT’s litter prevention efforts, which include Don’t Mess with Texas and Adopt-a-Highway, according to dontmesswithtexas.org.
