Canyon Lake’s too far-flung and hilly for most little ghosts and goblins so businesses and organizations will line FM 2673 in Sattler to hand out candy to the hundreds expected to trick-or-treat at the event from 5-8 p.m. today, Oct. 31.
“It’s my favorite event in our great Canyon Lake,” said Pct. 4 County Commissioner Jen Crownover.
FM 2673 will not close, but expect slow traffic due to heavy law enforcement and first-responders’ presence.

- Maven’s Haunted Maze, 10530 FM 2673, Startzville from 6-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31-Nov. 1. Can you survive the night? $10 for adults, $5 for kids. Proceeds benefit Hats Off for Veterans and medical bills for Kris Monroe.
- Halloween, Lucky’s Sports Bar, 18100 FM 306 from 7 p.m. to midnight. Best-dressed prizes awarded. Judging starts at 9 p.m.
- The Point at Rancho del Lago’s 6th Annual Trunk or Treat starts at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31. Located at 800 Golden Eagle Loop, Canyon Lake. Open to all ages and families.
- Trick or Treat at VFW Post, 14625 River Rd in Sattler, 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31. Lots of candy for kids.
- Goofy’s Halloween Karaoke Costume Party, 13124 FM 306, starts in the evening Friday, Oct. 31. Cash prizes for costumes. Hosted by DJ Gilbert Lee.
- Halloween Party at Canyon Lake Ace Hardware, 1150 FM 2673, from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31. Candy and hot dogs provided — costumes encouraged.
- Garden Ridge Library 6th Annual Trunk or Treat, 9401 Municipal Parkway, Garden Ridge, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31. Event is in the Garden Ridge Elementary School’s parking lot.
- Pumpkin Patch at Bird Haus Farms, 1025 Texas Oaks, Spring Branch, from 3-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31. Includes pumpkin patch, hay rides, bounce houses, kids’ activities, drinks, and train rides. Christmas tree lighting planned for Saturday, Nov. 1.
- Bulverde Pumpkin Patch, 3800 W. Ammann Rd, Bulverde, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31. $25 per car.
- Trunk or Treat at Hill Country Christian Church, 20845 TX 46, Spring Branch, from 5-7:30 p.m. Free hot dogs, chips, drinks and lots of candy for kids.
