The Texas Water Company (TWC) asks the public to stay away from equipment near its Park Shores surface water treatment plant.

Temporary diesel pumps are in place while the plant’s permanent intake structure is being reconstructed as part of an ongoing rehabilitation project.

Tampering with drinking-water infrastructure is a federal offense.

Upgrades to the plant, located on the north side of Canyon Lake, will allow TWC to adapt to changing water elevations during drought or flooding events, the water utility said on social media.

The Park Shores plant is the company’s primary water-treatment plant on the north side of the lake, serving customers in north Canyon Lake, Blanco, Bulverde and Spring Branch.
