Two Canyon Lake charities hope to turn 2026 Super Bowl LX Feb. 8 into a touchdown for their neighbors-in-need.
CRRC of Canyon Lake (CRRC) and St. Francis by the Lake Episcopal Church are hosting ‘soup-er’ events to entice residents to help feed the hungry before, during and after kickoff.
Tortilla Soup
St. Francis by the Lake Episcopal Church, 121 Spring Mountain Dr., is raising funds for charities like CRRC by selling tortilla soup for $10 per quart (32 ounces). Drive-thru pickup at the church parking lot runs from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7.
Pre-order or buy tickets in advance. Walk ins are welcome. St. Francis will accept cash, check or debit/credit card. Benefits community and missionary outreach.

Hearty Soups
CRRC’s annual SOUP-ER Bowl Soup Drive kicks off Sunday, Feb. 1 and runs through Feb. 28.
Hearty soups are needed for the Food Pantry, 1917 FM 2673, Canyon Lake.
The charity suggests residents who are hosting game-day gatherings ask guests to bring cans of hearty soup to “nourish families across our community. Healthy, filling soups make a difference.”
To qualify as hearty the soup must be healthy, full of nutrients and serve as a filling, full meal.
