Online registration is closed, but parents and children ages 3-16 who show up early can still reel in some fun at the 27th Annual Fun Fish at Canyon Park on Canyon Lake from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28.
Spots for the free kids’ fishing event will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Canyon Park is located on the north side of the lake at 1769 Canyon Park Rd.
Children do not need a Texas fishing license to participate.
The fun includes:
- Free fishing for kids
- Rainbow trout, stocked in the contained area
- Stocked fish tanks for younger anglers
- Loaner fishing gear while supplies last
- Educational games and activities hosted by dozens of partner organizations
- Bingo card prize raffle
- Biggest fish campaign
- Tagged-fish prize opportunities
- Giveaways including t-shirts, medals and lunch (while supplies last)
