Over 21,000 Comal Residents Voted Early as of Thursday, Hour-Long Wait to Vote at St. Francis by the Lake Friday

The parking lot was filled late Friday at St. Francis by the Lake Vote Center, with some residents standing in line for up to an hour at Canyon Lake’s only polling location to cast their ballots on the last day of early voting.

Friday’s numbers are not available, but here’s the breakdown on votes as of Thursday, Feb. 26. Although the Texas Secretary of State’s website is the official source of information, it lags behind the county’s Election Office. These numbers are from Comal County:

Total vote count is 21, 636.

There are 147,503 registered voters in the county.

Democrats

County: 6,284 in-person, 459 mail-in
Total: 6,743 total

Republicans

County: 14,151 in-person, 742 mail-in
Total: 14,893

Tuesday, March 3 is Election Day.
