AgriFest Open House Features Hayrides, Plant Giveaways, Demonstration Gardens and More

Students with Comal County's University of County Government visit the AgriLife Extension Office April 14, where they toured on-site gardens and got a firsthand look at the wide range of programs and resources available to residents.

Comal County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service hosts its annual AgriFest Open House from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2.

The public is invited to explore programs and services available through AgriLife Extension and Comal County. The extension office is located at 325 Resource Dr., New Braunfels.

The free event, co-sponsored by 4-H, features activities for kids, hayrides, plant giveaways, demonstration gardens, mobile library, water conservation and more.

The extension service educates residents about agriculture, environmental stewardship, family and consumer sciences, health, youth and adult life skills, human capital and leadership, and community economic development.
