‘Gator Games’ are coming to Canyon Park Saturday, May 16.
Spots are limited for an open-water swim and race in Canyon Lake.
Water Oriented Recreation District of Canyon Lake (WORD) is sponsoring the event by New Braunfels’ Gator Aquatics.
Options include a structured open-water swim from 8-9:30 a.m.
Participants can swim at their own pace on a clearly defined course with kayak and paddleboard supervision throughout.
An open-water race option starts at 10 a.m. Distances are 900 and 1,800 yards.
The professionally managed race features a clearly marked course and full lifeguard support.
A combo race starts with a traditional, structured swim then transitions into a race. Distances are 900 and 1,800 yards.
