The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) reduced releases from Canyon Reservoir to 150 cubic feet per second today as Canyon Reservoir — Canyon Lake — returns to its normal conservation pool elevation of 909 feet (mean sea level).

GBRA increased releases to 300 cfs Aug. 5 after heavy rains filled the lake from 60% to slightly over 100% full.

Rates were reduced to 250 cfs earler in the week. The lake was at 909.60 feet Wednesday.

“Reservoir conditions will continue to be monitored, and releases will be adjusted as needed based on reservoir levels and inflows,” GBRA said on social media.

The weekend still looks promising for tubers. Flow rates on the Lower Guadalupe @Sattler remain “recreational” and are much higher than they were before the heavy rains in mid-July.
