Biedermann Endorses Former Texas GOP Chair Allen West for Governor

Rep. Kyle Biedermann, the Fredericksburg Republican who represents Canyon Lake in the Texas Legislature’s House District 73, today endorsed former Texas GOP Chair Allen West for governor.

West, who announced his candidacy on July 4, is running against incumbent Gov. Greg Abbott in the 2022 Texas gubernatorial election on Nov. 8, 2022.

Former state Sen. Don Huffines of Dalla also is challenging Abbott.

“Texas is at a crossroads, and the citizens of our state will soon have the opportunity to choose the next leader of Texas,” Biedermann said in a statement. “Our current governor is great at appearing in front of the TV cameras at Fox News, but his actions tell a different story. The day has come for effective, proactive, and lasting conservative leadership.

“A true patriot, Lt. Col. West has proven himself on the desert battlefields afar and on the political battlefields at home,” he said.
