Breakwater Grill & Cantina on Canyon Lake will reopen March 14 with a limited menu.
On social media, the popular restaurant suggested customers “bust out the shorts and flip flops and your best Hawaiian shirt and meet us at the patio.”
Breakwater confirmed its popular burgers and fries, and redfish and shrimp entrees are making a comeback.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday-Sunday.
Breakwater closed in November 2024 to “evaluate” operations as lake levels plummeted due to drought and fewer customers showed up.
Canyon Lake resident Austin Hanna, part owner of Double Schott’s Sports & Bar Grill in New Braunfels, took over from Baja Icehouse & Grill, which closed in March 2023.
Responses to the news on Facebook were positive, with one poster describing the restaurant as “one of our favorite places to eat when we are on our way home from town, too tired to cook and need ‘Sunset Therapy.'”
The restaurant is located at 280 Marina Dr., Canyon Lake.
