Girl Scout Troop 5145 will host the grand opening of Canyon Lake Animal Shelter Society’s (CLASS) new ‘playscape’ for dogs from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3.
The public is invited to attend.
Girls spent the last several weeks cleaning, cutting down limbs, moving rocks, building two gazebos and adding agility equipment for the new dog park.
On Facebook, a CLASS spokesperson said they are “excited for volunteers and visitors to use this safe place for the dogs to run and get away from all the noise and to spend more one-on-one time with them.”
CLASS is a nonprofit refuge for unwanted, abandoned, and neglected dogs and cats. The facility is located at 2170 Old Sattler Rd., Canyon Lake.
