Canyon Lake Man Arrested for Friday Shooting, Victim in Critical Condition

A 27-year-old Canyon Lake man is in Comal County Jail tonight, charged with aggravated assault family violence.
Brandon Michael Cramer was arrested by Comal County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies who were responding to a 6:30 a.m. call today about an adult male involved in a shooting in the 1000 block of Real Lane in Canyon Lake.
Deputies and Canyon Lake Fire/EMS arrived at the scene and performed “life-saving measures” on a man who had been shot, according to a statement issued by CCSO Public Information Officer Jennifer Smith.
The victim, who has not been identified, was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital in Hays County where he is isted in critical condition.
Two adult males and one adult female were engaged in a “verbal confrontation” before the victim was shot, CCSO said.
Cramer was taken to CCSO and questioned by Sheriff’s Office investigators and Texas Rangers before being booked into jail.
A bond amount has been set.
CCSO said no further details will be released at this time.
