Canyon Lake’s Annual Freedom Walk Set for Sept. 11

Canyon Lake Republican Women’s (CLRW) annual nonpartisan Freedom Walk, a memorial tribute for 9/11 victims, military and first responders, begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 at Canyon Lake Dam in Overlook Park, 601 Coe Rd., Canyon Lake.
District 25 Texas state Republican Sen. Donna Campbell and New Braunfels Dist. 4 City Councilmember Lawrence Spradley will speak.
Comal County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard will lead the walk across the dam. Emcee is Tripp Marsalis. Soloist Peaches Kelly will perform, along with Blake Whitehead on trumpet and Bill Jones on bagpipes.
Parking shuttles are available.
CLRW will provide shaded seating and cold water.
No campaigning of any kind will be permitted at the event, CLRW said.
