Canyon Lake’s Annette and Robert Jackson are among seven 2021 Home Holiday Lights Contest winners for Canyon Lake, Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) said today.
Their Christmas display earned them a $250 bill credit from the cooperative, which provides electricity to the Canyon Lake area.
Robert Helms of Kyle was named the grand-prize winner and received a $500 credit on his utility bill.
PEC said its employees narrowed finalists down by voting for their favorite submission across the cooperative. The grand-prize winner was selected in the second round of employee voting.
Also named as winners are Nick and Val Klaudt of Burnet, Dana Kraft of Leander, Rhonda Maywald of Austin and Shana Hyslop of Marble Falls.
Founded in 1938 by then-Congressman and future U.S. President Lyndon Johnson, PEC is a member-owned electric cooperative serving more than 365,000 accounts across Central Texas.
