A major Canyon Lake Park will close for the Canyon Lake Youth Hunt from Friday, Jan. 16-Sunday, Jan. 18.
Boat Ramp #18 and the Madrone Trail, situated inside Canyon Park, also will close.
“For public safety, entry into any part of the park during this time is strictly forbidden,” Water Oriented Recreation District of Comal County (WORD) said on social media.
Boat Ramp #18 is one of three boat ramps still open to the public. The other two are #14, located in Jacob’s Creek Park, and #19, operated by Canyon Lake Marina.
WORD is hosting the first whitetail youth hunt for kids in Comal County ages 9-16.
