Comal County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is asking anyone with information about 25-year-old Luis Alexandria Rodriguez of Mexico, missing and presumed drowned in Canyon Lake at around 4 p.m. Saturday, to call 830-620-3400.

CCSO spokesperson Jennifer Smith said Rodriguez is Hispanic, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing pink swim trunks when he jumped off a boat to cool off.

Megan Radke with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD), whose game wardens also are involved with the recovery effort, said the man was in the water for two minutes and began struggling.

Divers with the New Braunfels Dive Team were unable to recover the body after an all-day search on Sunday that included CCSO and Canyon Lake Fire/EMS, which deployed its sonar-equipped Marine 53.

Rescuers are searching near Party Cove at Boat Ramp #7 on the west side of Canyon Lake.

The initial search was called off around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday. Dive teams were not available until Sunday morning.
