CCSO Deputy Killed in Crash

A Comal County Sheriff's Office transport deputy was killed in an automobile accident late Thursday afternoon in Schertz.
Comal County Sheriff’s Office Transport Deputy Ray Horn, 44, was killed in a three-car collision in Schertz at 5:15 p.m. today after suffering a “medical emergency while driving,” according to a press release issued by Schertz Police Department.
The accident occurred at the intersection of FM 3009 and Dimrock.
Horn was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Another person suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
“Our hearts are broken,” Comal County Sheriff’s Office posted to its Facebook page. “It is extremely painful to announce that we lost one of our own … Please keep Deputy Horn and his family in your prayers.”
