Canyon Lake residents can now check out hotspots from Tye Preston Memorial Library, 16311 S. Access Rd.
These portable Wi-Fi devices allow users to connect mobile devices — laptops, smartphones, tablets — to the internet.
Service relies on cellular network coverage.
Only one hotspot can be checked out per household. The 21-day checkout period cannot be renewed.
To qualify to check out a device, residents must be over 18 years of age with a valid photo ID and possess an active library card in good standing with at least three months of membership.
