The nonprofit McKenna Foundation invites local childcare providers to participate in “Path Forward for Early Learning and Care.”
An inaugural meeting for the initiative is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at the McKenna Events Center, 801 W. San Antonio St., New Braunfels.
Three collaborative sessions will address the significant issues facing childcare providers and workers and their families.
In a statement, McKenna said addressing complex challenges like high childcare costs, low wages, legislation and funding shortages will require “unique insights and experiences from local providers.”
