CLHS Incubator Program Needs Mentors

Canyon Lake insurance entrepreneur Cory Martelli can help you expand: Use your expertise to coach and mentor current Canyon Lake High School students so they can build their own businesses after graduation.
The father of two Hawks graduates is working with Comal ISD, Canyon Lake High School (CLHS) Principal Kristy Castilleja and teacher DeeAnn McCoy to launch a new “Incubator Program” at the school this fall.
The program combines classroom academics with hands-on, real-world skills to help students say “I get it! I know what to do with my life.”

Martelli also is the voice of Canyon Lake Broadcasting.
The business incubator program is part of a broader CISD initiative to prepare students to run their own businesses after receiving diplomas.
Last year, Martelli served as a coach, mentor and speaker for the program at Smithson Valley High School.
“This is a great opportunity to help our students learn, understand and become better-prepared after graduation in terms of real business acument upon graduation,” he said. “However, we need you, partners in our community, to help CISD and CLHS succeed.”
The idea behind Incubator Program is that entrepreneurship education fosters self-reliance and trains students to think and thrive, Martelli said.
