Comal Adds Six New, 13 “Backlogged” Cases to Its COVID-19 Database

The number of COVID-19 cases in Comal County grew to 3,626 today after the Office of Public Health reported 19 additional COVID-19 cases.
Of those, six are new and the other 13 are “backlogged” cases reported by the State of Texas, the county said in a statement.
Four of the six new cases are confirmed and the other two are probable. The number of deceased remains at 120. The seven-day positivity rate is 6.31%. The positivity rate for the State of Texas is 7.52%.
There are now 101 active confirmed-and-probable cases of COVID-19 in the county. Another 20 recoveries from the virus were reported, bringing the total recovered to 3,405.
On Thursday, Comal County hospitals reported caring for six COVID-19 patients. Two are in intensive care and one is on a ventilator.
