Comal County Adds 68 New COVID-19 Cases Tuesday, Total Now Stands at 19,934

Comal County reported 68 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the total to 19,934 cases since reporting began in March 2020.
County hospitals are caring for 10 COVID-19 patients. Of those, two are in intensive care and two are on ventilators. Approximately 80 percent of these patients are unvaccinated.
Not all COVID-positive patients hospitalized in Comal County are necessarily county residents.
The total number of deceased remains 460.
Some 59.57% of Comal County residents are fully vaccinated.
The Public Health Department is administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for those 18 years of age and older, and Pfizer vaccines for anyone five years and up.
Those who are high risk and qualify for a third dose or a booster also can call to schedule an appointment for a vaccine. Appointments can be made by calling 830-221-1150. The county asks residents to be patient due to high call volume.
