Comal County commissioners signed off today on a resolution supporting the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) plans for a standalone overpass at the intersection of FM 3159 and State Highway 46 in Bulverde/Spring Branch.
TxDOT requested county approval of a schematic (below) presented in court.
County Engineer Robert Boyd said the project is located at one of three major construction “points” along SH 46, including at Fairhills Drive and Bentwood Drive.
Construction on the state-funded $39 million project is expected to begin sometime in the next five to 10 years.
TxDOT already owns right-of-ways.
