Home kits and a drop in the number of new COVID-19 cases are two of the reasons Comal County is removing the COVID dashbord from its Public Health page.
Comal County will no longer publish a weekly COVID-19 dashboard on its Public Health webpage.
Spokesperson Cary Zayas said case numbers have steadily declined, and with the number of home tests being used, providing accurate data is problematic for the Public Health Department.
“Should there be a spike in cases we will introduce the dashboard and press releases as needed to keep the community informed,” she said.

Public Health will continue to provide relevant COVID-19 information on its public-health webpage.
The county continues to administer Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines for anyone six months and older. Bivalent booster vaccines also are available.
