Comal County received Texas Association of Counties’ Best Practices Award on Thursday, Nov. 10 for its University of County Government program.
Alan Bristol, county relations officer for TAC, called it “the best example of a Texas Counties Deliver program that I’ve seen. It’s a fantastic idea, and it benefits everybody in the county.”

The next session kicks off Feb. 28 with graduation scheduled for May 2.
The 10-week course, which meets 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, teaches participants about county government including its court system, sheriff’s office, roads and bridges, elections and much more.
