Comal County’s COVID-19 Count Rises to 20,026 with 30 New COVID-19 Cases Reported

Comal County reported 30 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing its total case count to 20,026.
In a statement, Public Information Officer Cary Zayas said county hospitals are caring for 11 COVID-19 patients. One is in intensive care and one is on a ventilator. Approximately 100% of these patients are unvaccinated.
Not all COVID-positive patients hospitalized in Comal County are necessarily county residents.
No deaths were reported. The total number of deceased remains 464.
The county’s Public Health Department is administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for those 18 and older, and Pfizer vaccines for anyone five years of age and older.
Those who are at high risk and qualify for a third dose can also call to schedule an appointment for a vaccine. Appointments can be made by calling 830-221-1150. The county asks callers to be patient as call volume is high.
