Be not afraid.

Comal County Elections Administrator Cynthia Jaqua said today that residents can rest assured the county is doing everything it can to help them vote without fear of contracting COVID-19 during voting for the primary runoff elections.

Precautions include:

  • Hand sanitizer
  • Disposable styluses
  • Finger coverings for touch screens
  • Sanitizing voting machines after each use
  • Social distancing within polling places

Also, she said Texas has doubled the  typical period for runoff elections in order to reduce the potential for COVID-19 spread.

The last day for the Elections Office to receive an application for a ballot by mail is July 2.
