Area organizations are now accepting applications from high school seniors for college scholarships of up to $10,000.

Comal ISD advises on its website these funds provide an opportunity for students to earn an education and begin a career.

“Without the financial assistance provided by a scholarship, many prospective students may have trouble paying for a college degree or beginning training for a trade or industry they desire.

“There are multiple paths a student can take to pay for college or the job training they need — jobs, loans, financial aid, grants and scholarships. Scholarships are money that you do not need to repay, and you can combine multiple scholarships awards with financial aid to cover the cost of your college or trade program.”
