Comal ISD Supt. Andrew Kim said all campuses will remain closed at least through Wednesday.
A decision has not been reached about Thursday.
In an email to parents, Kim said the district is aware that many students and staff are without water and power and factored that into its decision to cancel classes.
“While temperatures are expected to get above freezing Wednesday afternoon, we are monitoring the forecast for possible winter precipitation Wednesday night into Thursday morning,” he said. “We also continue to experience power outages at many of our campuses and want to ensure that we have plenty of power, heat, and water.
“We will communicate with you Wednesday afternoon regarding the status of school on Thursday. Finally, please note that progress reports were scheduled to go out today, but due to the closure will be delayed. We will let you know once they are available in Skyward.”
