County Adds 65 New COVID-19 Cases, Reports 14 Hospitalizations Tuesday

Comal County added 65 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing its total to 20,091.
In a statement, the county also reported its hospitals are caring for 14 COVID-19 patients. Of those, two are in intensive care and one is on a ventilator.
Approximately 79% of these patients are unvaccinated. Not all COVID-positive patients hospitalized in Comal County are necessarily county residents.
No deaths were reported. The number of deceased remains 464.
Some 59.97% of county residents are fully vaccinated.
Public Health is administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for those 18 and older and Pfizer vaccines for anyone five years and older.
Those who are high risk and qualify for a third dose or a booster can also call to schedule an appointment for a vaccine.
