County Will Close Hidden Valley Sports Park for Holiday Weekend

The 75-acre Hidden Valley Sports Park is leased by Comal County from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).

There are unconfirmed reports that Comal County will close its Hidden Valley Sports Park from 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 9 through 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 14.

2 p.m.Update: MyCanyonLake.com has confirmed that Comal County Assistant Engineer Robert Boyd notified CRRC’s Recreation Center this  morning.

MyCanyonLake.com was told that CRRC’s Recreation Center issued an email today, April 8 announcing the closure. If true, this could mean the county will close all parks, including those around Canyon Lake. There is still no word on county-operated boat ramps.

The 75-acre Hidden Valley Sports Park is leased by Comal County from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).

In addition to being a popular spot for walkers, the park includes a recreation center, nine soccer fields, six baseball fields, two football fields, a community pavilion and softball complex.
