County: Lots of Mulch, No New COVID-19 Cases

Share
Comal County's Recycling Center will have plenty of free mulch on Tuesday.

Breaking news out of Comal County this afternoon: “The mulch is back!”

On its Facebook page, the county said there were no new reports of COVID-19 over the weekend — “but there is one exciting thing to report: The mulch is back!”

That’s good news for stay-at-home gardeners, who burned throught the county’s supply much more quickly than normal.

When the Recycling Center, 281 Resource Dr., New Braunfels, reopens on Tuesday, there will be plenty of free mulch available for flowerbeds, herb gardens and produce.

County residents must bring their own containers to collect mulch.

The Recycling Centers hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. For more information, visit www.comalcountytx.com/rec.htm.

We dropped some limbs there a few months back. I was shocked to see piles of bamboo mixed in with other limbs, debris on the piles to be mulched. you do NOT want bamboo growing in your flower beds – extremely invasive!
