Comal ISD Supt. Andrew Kim said the district is awaiting guidance from the Texas Education Agency about how to manage other issues like graduations, yearbook distribution, and retrieving personal items from campus.

“Although it’s always good news to have no positive tests to report, we believe we are not yet at the peak of this virus in Comal County,” said Director of Public Health Cheryl Fraser. “We continue to recommend that residents stay home, maintain social distancing measures and wear a mask if they have to go out in public.”

Connie Alaniz retired as an epidemiologist with Texas Department of State Health Service in 2018 but said she is glad to be back as an epidemiologist for Comal County.
