CRRC Issues Plea for Donations to Feed More Families

Community Resource and Recreation Center of Canyon Lake (CRRC) today issued a plea for food and cash donations as COVID-19 tightens its economic grip on the community.
Last week, CRRC doubled its output of food provisions, serving 143 families in five days.
“Please help!” CRRC Executive Director Darin Zumwalt said on Facebook. “This has greatly taxed our food pantry in being able to provide for our community in need. Many of these families have never had to turn to a pantry to bridge the gap between what they have, what they need, and what they can find in our local stores.”
CRRC is asking for donations of cereals, soups, pasta sauce, pasta, eggs and milk.
Food donations can be droppped off from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday at CRRC’s thrift store, 1941 FM 2673, Canyon Lake or left at the back door of its new building next to the thrift store.
