Load up family and friends and enjoy a live nativity drive-thru at the Community Resource and Recreation Center of Canyon Lake (CRRC)’s new building, 1917 FM 2673 in Sattler. The holiday event is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and repeats on Dec. 19.
“We look forward to sharing the wonders of Christmas with our incredible community,” said Jason Derscheid, the CRRC’s new executive director. “Please join us as we celebrate the fun and wonders of our Canyon Lake Community Christmas 2020.”
CRRC canceled its popular, annual North Pole Village at the Recreation Center due to concerns about COVID-19.
Cars and trucks can enter from Old Sattler Road to drive around a well-lit, decorated cruising path around the facility.
All traffic will exit on FM 2673.
CRRC staff said Santa is expected to attend. Photos with the jolly elf are $5.
The event also includes carolers from local churches and organizations. A country store features gift items for purchase.
Participants are asked to remain in their vehicles unless shopping or visiting Santa. Masks are required.
