Cruisin’ Canyon Lake Fundraiser

The Pilot Club of Canyon Lake’s Friday night fundraising cruise of Canyon Lake’s sold out.

Good new is, there are still  tickets to Saturday’s dance.

The dance is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 at the CRRC.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the door. Hamburgers and hot dogs, beverages and wine and beer will be available.

The Grateful Geezers perform.

The band renders faithful renditions of blues, R&B, Rock and Jazz tunes.

“This is an important event for our community,” Skala says. “Canyon Lake depends on its active volunteers to keep it vibrant. We are blessed with a great many professional retirees who not only love the lake, but find satisfaction in the ability to still be able to give back. Our community is small, but its heart is large.”

The Pilot Club, a service organization whose mission is “Protect Your Brain for Life.” The Canyon Lake chapter educates the community on brain injury prevention, rehabilitation, coping and care-giving programs. It financially supports bicycle rodeos, Communities in Schools, Oak Tree Assisted Living, and New Life Children’s Center.

Community Resource and Recreation Center (CRRC), a local organization that serves Canyon Lake residents by providing vital social-service resources and life-enriching recreational and educational opportunities. CRRC operates a food pantry, crisis center, recreation center, and senior center.

Tye Preston Memorial Library, “a place where books are only the beginning and the sky is the limit.” Described as a dynamic, living library, TPML provides an extensive collection of books, videos and reference materials; computer and online access; programming ranging from lectures to concerts; and meeting rooms.
