Dylan Sandau Is CLHS Chess Champ!

Canyon Lake High School junior Dylan Sandau won first place in grades 9-12 category at Comal ISD’s second Spring Chess Tournament on Feb. 23.

More than 300 students in grades kinder through 12 competed at Smithson Valley High School.

Canyon Lake High school beat other district high schools to capture the top spot.

Junior Timothy Fowler won second place for the high school. Thomas Fowler placed third.

A final tournament is scheduled for March 23 at Canyon High School.
